Athletic Director Paul Fitz-Simons

Coach Paul Fitz-Simons is beginning his 22nd year in education and his 10th year serving as an Athletic Director.  His two-decade journey in education spans roles as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Fitz-Simons is a proud graduate of the Central High School Class of 2000, where he began his career as a teacher in 2005.  Before stepping into the Athletic Director role, he served as a Varsity Head Coach of three different programs: Basketball, Lacrosse, and Soccer while also serving as a Football Assistant Coach for 10 years.  Fitz-Simons contributions were recognized when he was named Region 2 Athletic Director of the Year in both 2023 and 2024, followed by a statewide honor as the GHSA Class 7A Athletic Director of the Year in 2024.  He also received the NFHS Award of Excellence for Exemplary Display of Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity in 2023-24
A Carroll County native, Fitz-Simons is a proud Jacksonville State University alum, where he earned his master's degree in 2012 while also completing his specialist in Education Leadership at Columbus State University in 2019.  He is married to the love of his life Alison, a Central Elementary School Teacher, and they have three daughters: Haven, Hadly, and Henly.
