My name is Umbrah Brown. I am the Head Football Coach here at Central High School. 2026 marks my 14th year in education and coaching! Before coming back to my alma mater ('07), I was the Head Coach at Paulding County High School in Dallas, GA. There I spent 3 years (1 as HC, 2 as DC) and was blessed to work with some incredible people and great student-athletes. Prior to my time at PC, I spent several years as an assistant coach (Defensive Backs and Strength & Conditioning) at Hiram High School and New Manchester High School, while teaching physical education. I also spent 4 years teaching elementary physical education while coaching at Hiram High School. I graduated college in 2012 from The University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.
I am married to Shatari Brown, who teaches at Central Elementary. We have 2 sons, Rhyland (11) and Rheygan (7). They are my WHY!

My name is Colton Belew. I’m a proud husband to my incredible wife, Madison, and father to our daughters Lyla and Sadie. Originally from Tennessee, I played football at Tennessee Tech University before beginning my coaching career in 2016.
I coached in Tennessee from 2016 to 2018, then spent three years in Florida working in strength and conditioning and coaching receivers. In 2021, I moved to Georgia and joined the staff at Paulding County as the Special Teams Coordinator and Receivers Coach. I’m now entering my Fourth year at Central, where I serve as the Offensive Coordinator. I’m excited to continue building on the strong foundation we’ve laid.
Coach Brown has been married to his wife Raquel for 34 years. They have three children and one daughter-in-law. Christian and his wife Molly, Nathaniel and Bacilia. Two wonderful grandsons, Christopher(4) and Benjamin(1). Coach Brown is a graduate of West Georgia College, where he received a bachelor's in Health and Physical Education, and Georgia Southern University, where he received a master's in Kinesiology. He has been coaching football since 1988 and is very excited to join the Central family.
Nathan Horsley was named Central High School Defensive Coordinator in December 2021. Before his return to Central High School, Nathan coached football and wrestling at both the high school and middle school levels, and baseball and soccer at the middle school level.
Outside of school, Nathan is an avid sports fan and works with Gradick Communications on Friday nights as an analyst and reporter covering high school football.
Nathan is married to Emily, a 1996 Central High School graduate. They have two (2) boys, Caden and Nate.
Coach Kyle Sanders is entering his 4th year at Central High School as a Special Education Teacher in the Math Department. Coach Sanders has worked previously at Alexander High School and Walker Valley High School (TN). While at Alexander Coach Sander was a Special Education Teacher as well a Special Education Department Head.
This will be Coach Sanders 15th year coaching football at the high school and collegiate levels in both Georgia and Tennessee. Coach Sanders is married to his wonderful wife Amanda Sanders, and has two son’s Deacon (6) and Lincoln (3). Go Lions!
My name is Chuck Ector. This is my 6th year coaching. I am proud to be at my alma mater as a defensive linebacker coach and assistant basketball coach. I graduated from Columbia Southern University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a minor in Sports Management. I am married to Keana Ector, who is an elementary school teacher, and we have three daughters together. (Ariyana, Ella, and Anaya)

My name is Coach Cam Brewer & I am a proud Central alumnus who is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the school and community that helped shape me. My wife, Makaela Brewer, teaches at Carrollton Middle School. I am the Running Backs Coach and look forward to helping develop young men both on and off the field. In addition to coaching football, I serve as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Central Middle School and the Head Girls Track & Field Coach at Central High School.
My name is Brayden Mauldin, and I am originally from Dallas, Georgia, where I attended Paulding County High School. I earned my associate degree from Georgia Military College, where I also had the opportunity to play football. I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of West Georgia in 2026.
I have three years of coaching experience, including two years coaching quarterbacks at East Paulding High School and one year coaching quarterbacks at Central High School. My experiences as a student-athlete and coach have helped shape my passion for education, athletics, and helping students reach their full potential.
Outside of education and coaching, I am engaged to my high school sweetheart, and we are excited to get married in June 2027.
I will be entering my first season as a Wide Receivers Coach at Central High School. A former collegiate football player at Kennesaw State University and Samford University, I bring valuable playing experience and a passion for developing young athletes.
Before joining Central, I spent 1.5 years at Mount Zion High School, where I helped develop two All-Region wide receivers. I was also able to coach Mount Zion Track to another Boys High School Region Championship while also having two state champions. I am committed to building skilled, disciplined, and confident players both on and off the field.
My name is Coach Strickland. I am a proud alum of Central High School Class of 2010, where I lettered in football. I am married to Atora Gamble-Strickland, who is a Registered Behavior Tech at Sandhill Elementary. I will be entering my 1st year as Central High School's Defensive Line Coach, and I have been coaching for 8 years within the Recreation Program, Central Middle School, and the Defensive Line at Temple High School.
I am originally from Sparks, Ga. 20 minutes north of Valdosta, Ga. I am a graduate of Morehouse College where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and ran Track and threw Shot Put, Discus and Javelin for the Maroon Tigers. I received my Master of Teaching Education degree from University of Phoenix. I obtained my PLTW Biomedical STEM certification at the University of Kentucky. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I am also a certified USA Track & Field Level II Coach. Before teaching Strength and Conditioning, I taught Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry and Biomedical STEM. As a STEM teacher, I was part of the STEM PLC that worked to aid Lithia Springs High School in becoming the first school in Southeast to be State and Internationally STEM certified.
As a Track coach, I’ve coached a #1 Nationally ranked Triple Jumper and three-time 5A State Triple Jump Champion; a 5A State High Jump Runner-Up; a #3 Nationally ranked Long Jumper, two-time 5A State Long Jump Champion and a two-time State GRPA Shot-Put champion as well as several other student-athletes who finished in the top 5 of State finishers in multiple events: Girls High jump, Girls 100m, Girls 100m Hurdles, Girls 300m Hurdles, Girls Shot Put, Boys Shot Put, Boys 1600m, Boys 200m, Boys 400m and Boys 4 x 100m relay.
I am married to the Hall-of-Famer Sandy (Ackey) Walton, a graduate of Central High School. We have three intelligent, humble and athletic boys; Juliuz (a senior @ Charleston Southern University), Jonaz (a freshman @ University of Norte Dame), and Jacez (a Junior @ Central High School).
